LAUAN Task 2

For pose to pose i was inspired by the story of Rotkäppchen aka little red ridinghood. i really strugled with this one because of the nature of the cut out paper animation used. Im a very clumsy person, i managed to sclice my thum open twice creating the cutouts for this. i could get better by practising cutting out more capturing the naimtion itsself was fairly straight forward. The rostrum setup really helped with this. I found that because i had planned out my animation quite well before hand, it made it a smoother process.

My straight ahead doesnt quite fit into the genre of straight ahdead animtion. This, because i prepared some elerments of the animation ahead of time. with that being said i uded the reminents of "seed" by morphing it into the balls or leaves on the top of the tree. I could improve the animtion by ensureing that the lightinhg is more consistant and that the triposd is more steady.

Old western shootout spoof intentionally bad, to make it funny.

I utilised the classroom doors and corridors because while the story was fairly self-contained, only shooting the whole animation on the corridor, I gave the illusion of space by editing it so it looked like all the doors of all the rooms where connected. I really liked this idea, however, i could have executed it better by taking into consideration the timing and position of the doors and how fluid the movement in and out was. This would require better planning on my part.

From a directing standpoint. I took into consideration suggestions from my actors. This changed the aesthetics of the animation slightly. Which made it more visually interesting. You can see how it changed from my original storyboards to the final product.
